Well living in Ohio is definitely different then living in Washington.
WA has: mountains, large bodies of water, rain most of the year, Starbucks at every corner, usually mild summers, and my friends and family.
OH has: flat land, some hills, humidity, storms all the time, lots of close shopping places, tornadoes, nice people, and the opportunity to go on vacations.
One thing that has changed my mind about the flatness here is that you can see the sunrises and sunsets so much better than with the mountains in the way. I miss looking at the colors the mountains turn from the sunrises/sets but its gorgeous to see the color as far as you can see!
I do miss having a close relationship with people though. Since I am not in WA anymore I have lost some of those relationships. Here in OH I have not been here long enough (i guess) to get the trust of people. Its hard. I am a people person. I love being around people. That's just who I am. But its hard to do that here. Not being invited to things (excluding all youth group events) doesn't help either. But I guess its kind of my fault. I could have made more of an effort to make friends by inviting them to do things and then that would have opened a window for them to perhaps feel more comfortable around me. I don't know. This is just me thinking through why and how come.
I also am at a disadvantage though. I graduate this year and so my fellow seniors that I have been trying to befriend will be heading off to college soon and that relationship will end. And then there's the other people in the youth group that I have been trying to befriend. What will happen to that relationship since I will no long be in the youth group? Will the relationship that I have been trying to build with those people dwindle away also? Goodness. Maybe I shouldn't think about this anymore. It's kind of a downer.
I really don't have anything left in my head to say on this subject.
This really does go along with the title of my blog. Haha.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your on understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:4-5

Time Flies
Recently - like this last Tuesday - I started a started a real job! I know I'm 18 and I have not had one real job. But I do have to say not having a real job has let me do many things that I couldn't have done with a real job. Anyway. I work at Emeritus; a home for the elderly. (Guess where Emeritus' headquarters is. Since you cannot guess I will tell you; SEATTLE! Crazy right? I thought so.) What I do is I serve the residents there their food, take orders and have a smile on all day. Today is going to be technically my fourth day but it's my third day actually serving the residents. So far no one has given me a hard time, which I am very happy about. Hopefully it keeps up for a few more days, maybe a few more weeks.
Switching gears to school. I am graduating high school this May! It is so very exciting, I can not wait! My family and I are going down to Pensacola, FL so that I can graduate with the rest of my class from A Beka Academy! I get to walk and get my diploma and I get a cap and gown!!!!! AHHH!!! So cool!!!
What am I going to do after high school? Well I haven't exactly decided yet. I know I want to go to beauty school but I don't know if I want to take a year to work full time and then next year start or if I would like to start this August. That decision has to be made soon and I have no clue as to what I'm going to do.
Well I think that wraps it all up. I am going to try and write on this blog like every two weeks. Two weeks gives me enough time to remember.

The Knowledge of the Holy
So I am involved in a book club called Launching Pad. It is called launching pad because it is launching us into the college world.
Anyway. We just had our second meeting last Saturday to discuss our latest book The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer. (I strongly recommend that you read it.) The whole book is about God's attributes and us trying to understand them better.
One of the chapters is called God's Infinitude. This quote is from the book, "Infinitude, of course, means limitlessness, and it is obviously impossible for a limited mind to grasp the Unlimited." "...to say that God is infinite is to say that He is measureless." That brings me to the thought that I wanted to say to whoever reads this.
I was at the Creation Museum on Sunday and went to the planetarium there. Just to see and hear all about space and all the different stars and galaxies was amazing!! But even more amazing than that was knowing that the God I serve is infinitely bigger than all of that!! How amazing is that!! YET! He is every where at one time.
There's another quote that I like from the chapter The Divine Omniscience, " God knows instantly and effortlessly all matter and all matters, all mind and every mind, all spirit and all spirits, all being and every being, all creaturehood and all creatures, every plurality and all pluralities, all law and every law, all relations, all causes, all thoughts, all mysteries, all enigmas, all feeling, all desires, every unuttered secret, all thrones and dominions, all personalities, all things visible and invisible in heaven and in earth, motion, space, time, life, death, good, evil, heaven, and hell." Knowing all of that just puts me in more awe of Him!

Poem
This is my rhyming poem that I had to write for school. I am very excited that I finished it so i decided to post it on my blog for it to be official that it's done!
Golden leaves are falling
Playful birds are twittering
Chilly winds are coming
Is it Autumn today?
Warm fires are crackling
Colorful kites are flying
Fluffy coats are zipping
Is it Autumn today?
Footballs spiraling are spinning
Tasty hot chocolates are steaming
Excited football fans are cheering
It is Autumn today.
I hope that I did alright. Thanks for reading!

Love your Bible!
People take the Bible for granted every day. I have to say that sadly I am one of those people.
What I mean is that we have the Bible available to us and a lot of us have 5-10 Bibles in our homes and all in different versions! People in foreign countries don't have that luxury (I'm mainly talking about the poor foreign countries). They might have a Bible or they have some of It but not all of it. If our Bible was to start losing pages we would either retire that Bible and only use it when we really needed to read a passage from our favorite Bible. But most of us would go grab another Bible from our home library or go to a Christian book store and try and decide if we want the same version we had or a different one, a study Bible or a Bible with room on the margin so we can write little notes in it. They don't have all of the different versions that we are used to seeing.

Also in a lot of foreign countries Bibles are illegal to have in your possession. So here's another thing that we don't have worry about. We don't have to hide our Bibles under the floor boards or in the wall. We don't have to be afraid of the police finding out that we own a Bible and them coming to arrest us.
I have been convicted lately of not using my Bible to the best of my abilities and pushing it aside at times when there is something more "important" that I want to do and reading my Bible would just take up too much time. It blows my mind that I do that and the people that are in those foreign countries want desperately to be able to read the Bible whenever and wherever they want! What's better than learning about Christ and things that will help us in our daily lives?? NOTHING!

my dad
i've really been missing my dad this past week. thinking about the things we used to do together. like this one time we were home alone together and he told me that since it was just us he was going to take me out on a date to a basketball game. that was a good time. and then as a family we would go to the monroe high school to watch the football games. he would try every game to help me get the game but it really didn't work. but i loved that he always tried.
oh, then our father daughter breakfasts...i really miss those and the talks we had...we don't really have those anymore. We still should but we haven't.
everyone who has a dad that should be very very thankful for him. i really wish that my dad was home. he's one of my best friends and he is all the way in Ohio. =P
i'm praying that the house sells quickly so that i can go to Ohio with him!!
